Summertime is upon us! Preparing for meals and snacks should be fun and stress-free. My number one time-saver and my all-time favorite is meal prepping ahead of time. It is crucial to make time for meal prep. Use grab and go bowls for fruits and vegetables. Do you want to save money as well? Freezing prepared meals for later use is the way to go!
I personally use fresh vegetables in many ways. First of all, I use them in meals like stir-fries with protein and even as sides with meals. Next, I use them as snacks for my family and for myself. Lastly, I use them in tasty smoothies! Allow yourself to use colorful vegetables and different textures, do not be afraid! Make healthy foods interesting and fun.
Saving time with a no cook recipe is always on my to-do list. My family always enjoys a nice filling salad or even a tasteful wrap. My best friend that I can always rely on for a quick and healthy meal is Pinterest. It is an application on your phone that is easy to download. I am sure it will not let you down.
If possible, shop to stock when you're at the farmer’s market or grocery store. Shop smart by making less visits, especially during this time with the Covid. Buy fruits and vegetables that will fit into your budget. Allow the kiddos to take part in making smart choices, while learning about yummy nutritional foods.
Peace, Love & Have Fun
