I try my best to plan ahead and prepare meals.
I will make homemade lasagna and have it all ready to go. All that is needed is to throw it in the oven.
I also like to marinate chicken, so I will get out frozen chicken and put it in my marinade. All I have to do then is grill it in the next day or two. We usually eat butternut squash with the chicken, so I will have that all cubed up and ready as well. Then, it is ready to be thrown in the oven.
To be honest, I don’t always have time or the energy to do this, but when I do I make up as many meals as possible.
As far as snacks, I use the snack size baggies.
I put together whatever snacks my kids like, so they can grab them whenever they are wanting them. Kind of like making my own little trail mix for them. I even buy the bigger packages of the goldfish and other snacks because it is cheaper than the individual packages. Also, I make my own individual snacks.
